<p>A nationwide survey by Associação Brasil Albinismo involving more than 800 respondents across all five of Brazil's macroregions has found that access to sunscreen, low-vision services, and school accommodations remains deeply uneven, with respondents in the North and Northeast reporting significantly worse outcomes across all measured indicators.</p><p>The survey, the most comprehensive of its kind conducted in Brazil, also found high rates of reported discrimination in the workplace and in educational settings, with respondents describing being overlooked for promotion, excluded from activities, or subjected to derogatory comments.</p><p>The association is presenting the findings to the federal government and calling for albinism to be included in the next national disability policy review.</p>
